The book explores the quantitative study of the leadership practices (Kouzes and Posner, 2002) of the department chairs as perceived by the faculty and the job satisfaction (Spector, 2007) of faculty members at a historically black university located in the State of Mississippi. The role of the gender and ethnicity of faculty members’ perceived leadership practices of department chairs and job satisfaction is explored. A total of 100 faculty responded to the study.
