Potential Application of Herbal Feed Supplements in Broiler Nutrition

Feed supplement and feed additives has served the purpose of best production efficiencies over the years in animal nutrition. Potential of birds is fully utilized by such feed formulation and feeding practices in addition of broilers ration. At present numbers of feed additives are used to feed broiler birds for the purpose of increase in body weight gain and improve feed efficiency (FCR) and economics of broiler production. However, some feed additives like herbal product, hormones, antibiotics and probiotics. Among all these, herbal feed additives are better for feeding of broilers to improve weight gain, feed efficiency and feed intake and economics of production. These herbal feed additives have no side effects on the health of birds and human beings. The dietary use of herbal growth promoter increases the performance of broiler by increasing live weight gain and feed conversion ration.
