Almost 80% of the UK public believe that antidepressants are addictive. Among the experts, there is a polarised debate of opposing views. Unfortunately, the argument is hindered by a lack of primary research and a virtual absence of research specifically investigating the prevalence of SSRI dependence according to ICD-10 criteria.
