Acid survivors are facing crude reality every day. They are persistently struggling to adjust with the changes made in their lives. How close have we, the family, society and the state, managed to come to these people? How well are they living with their sufferings struggles in term of insufficient healthcare / treatment, lack of implementation of law / law enforcement, limited employment opportunities and negative attitude of the society? Do we really know how deep- rooted and wide-ranging their problems are? Due to available data women and children are the mostly victims of acid violence. In patriarchal societies male culture is such a phenomenon which is responsible to increase the sufferings of the acid survivors. Acid survivors face so many problems in their lives, because they are not well accepted by their surroundings. They have to struggle every time with their community to live in a harmonic way. But most probably we don’t know the history of acid survivors’ social sufferings. Though this is the situation, I have tried to find out the untold stories of acid survivors’ sufferings with my research study.
