The Role of Formal and Non-Formal Education in the Global Society

The monograph “The Role of Formal and Non-formal Educational Institutions in the Society of Globalization” is an innovation in the field of scientific research in terms of interacting of formal and non-formal factors in education in Kosovo.The study focuses on the integration of formal education into non-formal education and the importance of this integration in preparing young people for life. Such integration enables students to acquire and gain new knowledge, the necessary skills for life and skills, which contribute to the achievement of professional competencies, while they would use them in their lives, being formed as active citizens of the global society. The study aims at attracting the attention of school, families, civil society, to effectively combine formal education with non-formal education and the importance of this combination in students’ education. The study is a contribution to the contemporary literature, on the importance of life education, highlighting the characteristics of this education during the teaching process and training and educational activities exercised by non-formal institutions.
