This research study explores the intricate connections between climate change, health security, and misinformation in the African context. Africa faces unique challenges posed by climate change, which have profound implications for public health and well-being. The proliferation of misinformation further complicates efforts to address these pressing issues, making it imperative to examine how these factors interact. Through a comprehensive literature review and qualitative analysis using interview as an instrument of data collection, the research identifies strategies to combat misinformation effectively, with a focus on leveraging Inoculation Theory to address climate misinformation. Grounded in Inoculation Theory, the study highlights the importance of pre-emptively exposing individuals to weakened misinformation to enhance their resistance to persuasion, ultimately recommending targeted communication strategies to inoculate the public against climate misinformation.
