The study, Channels TV’s Role in the Control of the Spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria: A Study of Benue Viewers, sought to investigate the role of Channels Television in the control of the spread of Corona Virus in Nigeria. The research used survey method to collect data. Findings of the study revealed that Channels Television contributed to the control of the spread of Corona virus in Benue State through jingles, advertisements, news stories, drama and songs that aimed to sensitize the viewers’ on how best to control the spread of the virus. It was also found that Channels Television contributions resorted to the control of the spread of Corona virus to a high extent as it was able to influence attitudinal change. Based on the findings, the study concluded that Channels Television like most media stations contributed effectively in the control of the spread of Corona virus during the outbreak of the virus, and these contributions resorted to the actual control of the spread of the virus in that most people through Channels Television messages imbibed the constant use of facemask when in public, regularly washed their hands, avoided social gatherings and maintained social distancing.
