This study investigated the role environmental engineering education can play in promoting ecologically sustainable development, and how such programs of environmental engineering education can best be planned and implemented. The survey results findings are consistent with other studies and reports carried out in this field. Issues that demand to be addressed in the following findings are suggested by the academics for the future design of engineering education curricula. The key issues identified include: It is recommended that a single corporate ''think tank'' that combine the talents, experience and foresight of all the parties to give overall vision, planning and direction to the processes of modern engineering education and professional development, community, government, industry, professional institutions and educators. The engineering professional development and training process of engineers needs to be thoroughly reviewed with industry and graduated students to develop the formation of skills and attributes pertinent to a dynamic engineering market place.
