One of the main challenges humanity is facing in the 21. century is climate change with its impacts and consequences for the life on our Planet. The role of international organizations is crucial and the climate talks at the Copenhagen Summit in 2009 was an important international event with high expectations and weak outcomes. Its was a difficult process with high complex and conflicting issues standing in the way, which have shown the difficulty of addressing climate change internationally. The road ahead will demand faster efforts by the international community and individual countries in order to diminish the dangerous impacts of climate change on humankind in the present and future times.
