Aggressive driving is one of the difficult social phenomena of our time therefore, great efforts are invested in trying to find ways to reduce the number of drivers and pedestrians that are killed and injured in traffic accidents. The results of this research point to the need to focus on such aspects of driving as the psychological processes involved during driving as well as the attitudes and viewpoints people have regarding driving and regarding safety while driving. The findings support the basic premise regarding the centrality of driver stress during driving and demonstrate that we can predict which drivers are likely to drive aggressively based on their stress levels and coping strategies.
