The goal of this study was to investigate the effects of clear speech perception by sensori- neural hearing impaired individuals and to find out the acoustic properties contributing to these enhanced perception abilities. Seventeen acquired stable sensori-neural hearing impaired individuals were recruited for the study. Results revealed higher mean scores for clear speech with greater fundamental frequency (F0) and Intensity, longer duration, higher consonant-vowel ratio (CVR) and temporal modulations when compared to conversational speech.
