The book presents mainly the plant genetic resources of Rema-Kalenga wildlife sanctuary, Bangladesh. The authors tried to focus existing plant genetic resources in the sanctuary. They have presented a total of 606 plant species under 102 families. Among the species 15 reported here as new records for Bangladesh. The sanctuary supports maximum 391.67 tree individuals/ha. The values of Shannon Weiner Function and Simpson's index are 5.68 and 35.11 respectively while Concentration of Dominance is 0.0285. Artocarpus chaplasha, a good timber yielding tree, is the dominant species attaining the peak value. Population structure data of leading dominant trees display variations. The authors also presented ethnobotanical information from the sanctuary. At the end they have made some recommendations for future genetic resources conservation and management action plans in the sanctuary area. Concentric zoning model has been proposed here for such a plan.
