Acquisition of Modern Foreign Languages in Post-Primary Education

Do all students have the ability to learn foreign languages? This question underpins the foundation of this research undertaken in Irish secondary school.It explores educational,parental and European issues of equality and opportunity while also raising questions of pedagogical training and curriculum idealogies. The research is examined from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective.
