Raw use of “not entirely politically correct” sarcasm, twisted, dark (Junigan) humor and metaphor shock the reader into a blatantly vivid and less public reality. Candid and risqué auto/ethnograpic narrations, poetry and rants are woven throughout the academic fabric and embeddded effectively into the literature. Frequent droppings of the “f & a variety of c-bombs” in a calamity of unladylike applications,(to which she replies, “get over it people,it’s just a word”),combined with creative use of language, offers a glimpse from a redneck, blue-collar, working class vantage.
