Migration is an often precursor to cultural discrepancies, dislocation and other associated problems. This report endeavours to look at a particular group of people termed as The Third Generation Indo’s whose families have migrated from Indonesia to the Netherlands after World War II. The assimilation method of immigrant process from the Dutch government, the memory suppression due to psychological trauma from the war as well as the desire to start a new life and fully integrate into the new Dutch society has led to a gradual loss of the cultural identity and it was not until recently that younger generations are showing signs of ethnic recognition and revival, with interests and motivations that influences behaviour on multiple levels. Thus identity can be valued as an important factor that can drive travel incentives, influence travel decisions as well as affect travel behavior, which forms the topic of interest in this report.
