This study investigates the complexities and obstacles encountered by enterprises within the European Union in implementing governance frameworks for converged security systems, with a particular emphasis on the challenges posed by regulatory discrepancies, technological integration issues, and organisational culture. Through a qualitative approach that encompasses case studies, interviews, and surveys conducted with security professionals and compliance officers across various sectors, the research identifies significant gaps in the existing governance structures that hinder effective security measures. Key findings reveal that regulatory fragmentation not only complicates compliance but also impedes the adoption of integrated security solutions, while diverse technological landscapes create barriers to interoperability and data sharing. Furthermore, organisational cultures often resist change, thereby obstructing the implementation of cohesive governance frameworks. The significance of these findings is particularly pronounced in enterprises, where the convergence of cybersecurity and physical security is critical for safeguarding sensitive data privacy and ensuring security.
