E-sense

The concept of "human e-senses" refers to the potential augmentation of our natural senses through technology, essentially creating electronic extensions of how we perceive the world. This isn't about replacing our existing sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste, but rather about enhancing and expanding their capabilities. Imagine glasses that not only correct vision, but also overlay digital information onto our field of view, providing real-time translations or identifying objects. Think of earbuds that selectively filter out distracting noises while amplifying important conversations, or gloves that can translate the sensation of distant objects with detailed haptic feedback. The possibilities are vast. In this book we studies, e-retina, e-test, e-skin and suggested design steps for the same.
