Teaching and Thinking History

This book analyzes the historical thinking skills and pedagogical reasoning of would be history teachers. As part of the analysis, a taxonomy of historical-pedagogical reasoning is suggested to explain the differences in historical-pedagogical thinking processes. Based on the taxonomy it is possible to analyze each individual's level of historical thinking skills and the level of their pedagogical reasoning.
