This book on Digitization and Sustainability of Archives of Knowledge Resources in Uganda is meant to open ideas to individuals and organizations engaged or hoping to carry out archives digitization to know how the different prospects involved, the challenges and expertise required to engage in the project. This research was mooted from the situation under which the archives have been preserved in Uganda. The problem has been lack of knowledge of how the archives are important to the history of the country and keeping the same as accountability and a heritage to the future generation. Case studies of National Archives, Makerere and Uganda Christian Universities were taken and individuals were investigated through an interview guide and research questions, and findings on forms of archives, the financing and sustainability plans available and the challenges faced in archives digitization and preservation. Therefore, this book will help readers and researchers to know the status of archives in Uganda, where to find different archival resources and the mechanisms that have been established to ensure sustainability of archives digitization projects.
