The Evolution and Implementation Strategies of the University of Ghana

This books summarizes the main events that went into the evolution of the University of Ghana distance education programme, as well as its implementation strategies. The author uncovered the 'whys' and 'hows' of the implementation process by interviewing the past coordinators of the programme and the present coordinator as at the year 2010, whilst students' views were sourced by means of a survey. The use of Rogers' (1962) Diffusion of Innovation Theory, gleaning of rich literature, which were all weaved into the findings from the study make this book a must read for people venturing into the implementation of [educational] programmes and those seeking to improve upon the performance of already existing prograammes.
