Gravity and magnetic mapping of extension of Kraaipan belt, Botswana

•Potential field data from the western Kaapvaal craton are processed and analysed. •Data analyses includes lithological and structural interpretation and modeling •Kraaipan greenstone rocks extent into southeast Botswana than previously recognized. •Gravity models show shallow steep-sided greenstones and plutons within gneisses. •The configurations suggest plate-tectonic processes assembled the Kraaipan terrane.
