The book first gives a synopsis of the country of Botswana, and then gives a literature review on how intergenerational sex is associated with the HIV epidemic in Sub-Saharan Africa. It then discusses the dynamics of sexual relationships and risk behaviors that obtain within them, and also examines factors that enable some girls to resist entering such relationships. Finally it makes conclusions, recommendations and implications of the study regarding practice, policy and research
