To Compare The Efficacy And Safety Of Eplerenone And Spironolactone

Aldosterone plays an important role in the pathophysiology of Heart Failure. ACEIs reduces the aldosterone level but it again reach to pre-treatment level after 3-6 months of therapy. The studies like EPHESUS and RALES showed the effectiveness of Eplerenone and Spironolactone in patients having clinical evidence of heart failure after recent Myocardial Infarction. But no direct comparative study between Eplerenone and Spironolactone has been undertaken to show beneficial effect of aldosterone blocker in post MI patient. The current book shows the direct comparative study between Eplerenone and Spironolactone in acute MI patients.
