Skin grafts are commonly used to close skin defects and have been used since the early 1500s. Many factors account for graft failure with infection being one of such factors. This is noted from the frequent discharge of pus from those grafts that fail. The importance of this study lies in its intention to define the micro-organisms that cause graft failure and their antibiotic sensitivity. The aim of this work was to determine the role of bacterial infection in graft failure.
