Diversity and Ecology of spiders in Satpuda, Maharashtra; Spiders of Satpuda

The book is a cumulative work conducted to identify and understand the diversity and ecology of spiders in Satpuda, Maharashtra. In a total of 518 species from 100 genera of 27 families were reported. The Spiders from family Dysderidae are reported from Satpuda for the first time in India while adding one family in the Indian diversity of spiders. The detailed study of Satpuda showed that genus like, Dysdera, Poltys, Romphaes and Harmochirus, are exclusively endemic to Satpuda. The book will help in upcoming researches not only in Maharashtra, India but in all the continents for assessing the diversity and ecological studies in the context of Arachnology.
