MODELLING AND SIMULATION OF ESTERIFICATION OF CROTONIC ACID

This book describes the modelling and simulation of an esterification reaction of crotonic acid in a bench-scale batch reactor by using MATLAB software. As the reactions that take place in a batch reactor play a prominent role in many chemical and pharmaceutical industries, optimization and the control of such systems was studied. The process modelling involved the study of both the reaction kinetics and the process control.
