Trichoderma is invented from naturally occurring fungus to protect crops from different diseases caused by different harmful fungi especially seed born and soil born fungi. Boro rice is grown in winter season in Bangladesh. Rice plants are cultivated in puddled transplanted system in winter season but this can be grown successfully by direct seeding on dry un-puddled soil with less irrigation. But this dry condition with less temperature of winter season is very suitable for growth and development of seed born and soil born fungi. These fungi attack seeds and seedlings before and after germination of seeds. These also cause pre-emergence and post-emergence death of seedlings. Trichoderma bio-fungicide is a very effective tool to control these fungi. Seed treatment with Trichoderma harzianum significantly increases germination and protects seed and seedling from seed and soil born fungi as well as increase plant stand in the field. It generates rapid and uniform seedling emergence and increase the survival rate of crop plants as well as increase yield. This research work was executed to find out the potentiality of Trichoderma as a bio-fungicide and it will help the researchers
