The Interpretation of Conditionals in Natural Language

We can actually extend the discussed paradox to all complex statements that have more than one truth-condition. If these truth-situations involve both the affirmation and the negation of the same simple proposition, then these truth situations are only about possibilities, and not about the facts in the actual world. These truth situations will lack truth-values.......The two propositions φ and ψ have truth-values when they are connected by the conjunctive connective ...and.... But the same two propositions lack truth-values when they are connected either by the conditional connective if...then... or are connected by the disjunctive connective ...or....
