Literature in the area of speaking shows that EFL learners have been hardly ever scrutinized to detect the effect of change of point of view on their narrative oral reproductions. This study attempts to show if change of point of view (reproducing once in the first person and a second time in the third person) has any effects on the fluency, accuracy and complexity of intermediate learners’ oral L2 performance. To achieve this purpose, a passage was given to the non-randomly selected participants and they were asked to reproduce the same passage using two points of view, first and third. The participants’ reproductions were recorded and then transcribed. Regarding the passage reproduction, three dimensions of complexity, accuracy, and fluency were measured. The collected data were analyzed by the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). To that end, some statistical techniques were applied including matched-pairs t-test and Doubly Multivariate Analysis of Variance. The findings demonstrated that change of point of view has no impacts on complexity, fluency, and accuracy of oral task performance.
