Over the last few years, the white supremacist movement in the United States has grown significantly, and now incorporates previously ignored segments of the population into it's membership. This book presents the findings of a theory based literature examination of organized racist groups and the related concepts of masculinity, whiteness, and feminism. It explores intersecting themes throughout the literature, as well as examining the roles various members play in the white supremacy movement. Literature was chosen based it’s relevance to the white supremacy movement and supporting theoretical constructs. The findings support the claim that white supremacy groups are actively recruiting women into their groups, and also that these women occupy roles that can be considered feminist. Further, the findings indicate that this gendered inclusion is reconstituting the movement’s conception of masculinity and whiteness. This book may be of interest to those in the social science field, or others who are interested in the studies of race and gender.
