Sexuality and Reproductive health of People with Disabilities

Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) is an essential component of the universal right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in other international human rights conventions, declarations, and consensus agreements. Do people with disabilities enjoy their rights of sexual reproductive health(SRH)? This question led to the present study with the reference to the Convention of Rights of People with Disabilities. It was found that many regulational, provincial and not supporting for the enjoyment of the SRH rights for people with disabilities. The governmental, non- governmental and particularly oriented on disabled people organizations have not mainstream disability SRH in the priority basic rights yet.
