The Irish Health Sector has a long and turbulent history. This history has lended itself to some of the current issues that face the progression of the Health Sector today. This research will look at the main historical events that have influenced healthcare in Ireland, the current structure of the Health Sector, how healthcare in Ireland is financed, some comparisons with other countries and some of the key issues in the Health Sector at present.
