The portrayal of Africa by Western media organizations

The book is a wake-up call on the ills of one-sided and unjust news reporting that is often associated with the continent of Africa. Anything can be said about Africa in the news. From the headlines passing down to the leads and sub leads, news on the African continent is generally associated with wars, deaths, and conflicts. Meanwhile, there is much happening on the continent of Africa. Just as news is reported about other geographical regions, the same principles of news reporting should be applied to Africa as well. Findings from the study show that Africa is not fully covered because the western news media coverage is often misleading and distorted. This has tarnished the image of Africa in the global scene.
