The book is devoted to delve in the nature, motives, models, contribution and benefits of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in health service delivery in 1 Municipal and 1 District Council in Tanzania by using the stakeholder theory within the PPP analytical framework. The emerging conclusions are that: the nature and motives for PPPs are centred on the need to share scarce resources in order to improve public health through models ranging from simple collaborations to joint ventures. However despite limitations in the initiation and management of collaborations, the results of PPPs are significantly positive for all stakeholders. The establishment of strong regulatory framework, a unit for technical support, more decentralisation of resources, and push for more advanced models of PPPs are some of the future challenges
