How to manage one''s classroom is a topic that causes much debate amongst educators. The use of positive reinforcement as the primary means of management is an approach which stresses the importance of using intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to improve behavior. This book examines different studies in support and in opposition to the use of positive reinforcement in the classroom. Two independent studies were performed in order to prove how and why positive reinforcement is an effective tool for managing at-risk students, and creating community in the classroom.
