The film Forrest Gump was a Hollywood blockbuster in the 1990''s. In this movie we are drawn to sympathize with the feather-like lightness of being found in the main character as he interacts with some of the popular formational events in the USA during the last half of the 20th century. His innocent interactions with these events bring about surprising and transformative changes to the times as well as to himself. However, Gump''s lite redemptive power works out better for himself than for those around him. This book brings a postmodern theological criticism to Forrest Gump using emerging film and liberation theologies.
