Expanding Craft Tourism in Jamaica

The craft industry in Montego Bay, Jamaica is still under-developed and viewed as a cottage industry despite 60 years of existence. The book identifies the role of the industry in tourism and its contribution to the economy of Jamaica. It also examines how the industry can be sustained in Montego Bay. Several issues that should be addressed to develop the craft industry are highlighted. The need for government to establish formal policies and regulate the industry to facilitate its expansion is also included. The book concludes with several recommendations - all aimed at realizing a higher return on investment for all stakeholders within the industry.
