This book explores, in large part, the use of traditional oral narratives as a catalyst in exploring contemporary dramatic themes as part of the South African theatrical experience. It''s major aim is to encourage the use of such texts in schools, especially in Africa as part of the revival of authentic African art forms and the African Renaissance. of It also explores dramatic issues in a contemporary African American U.S. urban setting.
