This work provides a clear insight into the problem of road safety in Kenya and many other countries in the world. For many years the transport sector in Kenya has been chaotic resulting in many deaths and injuries. This study looks at the role of drivers of passenger service vehicles in relation to their Knowledge, Attitudes and Practises and how this impacts on road crashes. There seems to be no solution in sight for the road safety problem while as many as 3000 people are killed every year in road crashes. This work will be useful to sociologists, policy makers, planners and all stakeholders in the transport sector.
