Awareness of the importance of environmental issues has become more and more central to the thinking of the oil and gas industry in the last decades. This research provides an overview of the oil and gas drilling waste management in Vietnam and other countries and explores appropriate treatment technologies to manage drilling wastes. The main two types of drilling wastes treated were Drill Cuttings and Drilling muds. Simultaneous amplification of treatment processes were obtained either by comparing of current technologies being employed in other countries with all two types of drilling wastes by using appropriate processes and optimized treatment conditions. The author would appreciate feedback from industry and researchers on the use they have made of this research, and any other guidelines or assistance needed, as input to the research to further enhance the environmental performance of the oil and gas industry.
