Water Resources Management in Arid and Semiarid Regions of Rajasthan

In this work an effort has been made to examine the existing water resources of Rajasthan state in order to assess the efficacy of water resources of Rajasthan in fulfilling the water requirement for different purposes. Rajasthan state is chosen in present study because it is nearest available arid and semi –arid region and detailed data were available for this region. Rajasthan is situated about 200 km from Aligarh city. It was easier to approach the area under study for verification of the available data.
