Groundwater Arsenic in Kamrup and Darrang District of ASSAM, India

Groundwater arsenic contamination is major concern in many parts of the world. Arsenic found in the groundwater of Brahmaputra valley in Assam because Assam valley is highly ferrous. Monitoring groundwater quality is a major concern in the rural areas. Many of the villages in rural India have the problem of monitoring groundwater because they are located in remote areas and not accessible. Usually the rural population suffers problems related to arsenic contamination. Groundwater is now facing a crisis in terms of quantity and quality.
