The term Web Services is a service or an interface which enables an application to interpret or find the services offered by another application independently. The interoperation of Web Services occurs with XML standard, but XML is capable of handling only syntactic and not semantic of messages exchanged between the Web Services. In the next generation of web, we want these web services to be self-described, meaningful, and amenable to automated discovery, composition and invocation and this can be possible with the semantic web which provides the infrastructure for semantic interoperability of Web Services. Therefore a need arises for combining or uniting semantic web and web services which results in Semantic Web Services. The purpose of this book is to investigate that how Semantic Web will bring structure to the meaningful content of Web pages, creating an environment where software agents roaming from page to page can readily carry out sophisticated tasks for users. In this book I have developed Semantic Web Service of Customer Database and used the ontology to search the customer address on the Google Map. Thus creating a mash up of Web Services with the help of Ontology.
