What are the Roles and Meanings of Sport to Young People

The focus of this research is to analyse the role Sport plays in deprived areas of Society, and to look at the meaning it gives to young people from these areas. Playing close attention to sport in such specific areas, the research will look at the impact it has on such dysfunctional areas of society and how it can tackle and challenge crime rates amongst youths, how sport can play much significance on bettering education for youths, how it creates opportunity for employment by offering training courses, sport and ethnic minority groups and regenerating areas building communities together.
