Fabrication in British and American News Reports: A Pragmatic Approach

This book is concerned with probing fabrication, from a pragmatic perspective, in British and American news reports. It attempts to attain various aims the most important of which are revealing out the motives of fabricating news reports; figuring out the strategies employed by British and American news reporters for the purpose of fabricating news reports; revealing out the differences, if there are any, between British and American news reports with regard to the stages those reports include; showing whether the mechanisms of fabrication differ in terms of the types of the causes involved in the British and American data of the study.
