This book is written from the background of the dualist’s jurisprudence where international law and the municipal laws of Nigeria are examined. For this reason, the book is structured into two parts. The first part of the book squarely deals with the responsibility of China under international law to curb the spread of COVID 19 pandemic. Similarly, the book establishes through the instrumentality of major international laws relating to public health that China failed in its international obligations to prevent the spread of the pandemic. The failure of China to do so affected the global community including Nigeria. Therefore, the second part of this book examines the efforts of Nigeria government in combating the spread of the pandemic among its citizens. However, these measures had Janus-headed impacts on the life of Nigerians. These developments are also discussed in this book. The book concluded by suggesting certain measures to be taken as the way forward in addressing future public health of global concern.
