Composite materials are used in engineering applications. They are also used in the Automotive industry, Aviation industries etc. Utilization of natural fibres in plastic composites results that agro-based fibres are a viable alternative to inorganic material based reinforcing fibres in commodity fibre-thermoplastics. Composite materials as long as the right processing conditions are used. Renewable fibres have low densities and high specific properties. The paper deals with the fabrication and testing of composite materials. The fabrication process consists of fabricating the composites by using Hand-layup method. The test process consists of mechanical property testing and machining property testing. For the past sixty years, synthetic fibres were used in automobile industries. Later on, natural fibres are regaining ground in automotive industries. One of the major reason for this renewed growth is an increased awareness of our environment. Besides the use of renewable resources as alternative fuels and oils for hydraulics and lubrication, the use of plant fibres as insulating materials or reinforcement in polymeric materials plays an important role in automotive industries.
