The title of the Book is chosen as a result of the perilous conditions suffered by refugee children because of their vulnerability while seeking aman in Nigeria as a result of the on-going Anglophone crisis. This study is conducted to analyse the effectiveness of the UNHCR's protection of Cameroonian refugee children in Nigeria. In this light, the study is aimed at examining the normative and institutional frameworks for the protection of these refugee children in Nigeria at a universal, regional and national level. Further, it is aimed at unveiling a situational analysis of their living conditions prior UNHCR's intervention coupled with the advancements meted out so far by the UNHCR and its partners. Nevertheless, though some challenges were registered, policy considerations were made to ameliorate the plight of these refugee children in Nigeria. Therefore, a glimmer of hope is revealed as to the protection strategies established by the UNHCR in favour of these refugee children in Nigeria.
