The quality of indoor air (QAI) in closed public environments, has been pointed out as a recurring subject in several academic studies and, mainly from the second half of the 20th century. Recently, studies aimed at public environments have shown surprising correlations between air quality and the effects caused to workers' health. The concern with air contamination is relevant, justified by the fact that workers spend most of the day at work and in a closed environment.It is emphasized that the efficiency and professionalism in the services of maintenance, conservation and cleaning of the equipment; training of service providers; disposal of the generated waste; in addition to raising awareness of the occupants of buildings, there are possible actions to control QAI, in addition to healthy factors that contribute to QAI, thus avoiding SED.
