EXPLORING THE POTENTIAL OF NANOPARTICLES

Nanoparticles have emerged as a highly promising approach for targeted drug delivery in the treatment of various diseases. Their tiny size, combined with their ability to encapsulate and deliver a wide range of therapeutic agents, enables them to specifically target diseased cells or tissues, thus enhancing the efficacy of drugs and minimizing unwanted side effects. This comprehensive review aims to explore the immense potential of nanoparticles in targeted drug delivery for disease treatment. It delves into their numerous advantages, such as their ability to overcome biological barriers, extend drug release, and amplify therapeutic effects. Moreover, it addresses the key challenges and limitations typically associated with nanoparticle-based drug delivery, including issues related to toxicity, poor stability, difficulty in scale-up production, and concerns over regulatory approval.
